WHO WE ARE
HopeSpring International is an education and research institute that exists to train, equip, and support teachers in the world’s most underserved and rural communities. Headquartered in the DMV, we believe that lasting educational change begins with local educators—and that teachers are the key to unlocking opportunity, dignity, and development in every society.
Through community-engaged partnerships, research-based teacher formation, and a growing fellowship of educators and leaders, we build the ecosystems that allow students and schools to thrive. Our programs begin in local classrooms but are designed for global impact—empowering teachers to not only lead high-quality learning environments, but to transform the systems around them.

OUR MISSION
The mission of HopeSpring International is to end the global teacher shortage by identifying, training, and supporting teachers in underserved communities through locally grounded teacher formation, research-informed professional development, and community-engaged training models.
– 44 million additional teachers are needed to achieve universal primary and secondary education by 2030
– Teacher shortages are widespread, with sub-Saharan Africa needing 15 million more teachers
– Some regions, including sub-Saharan Africa, are facing high teacher-student ratios, inadequate training, and a lack of professional development opportunities for teachers
– Rural areas are often left behind
