HopeSpring International: An education & applied research organization
We strive for education systems that learn from experience and grow stronger with time.
FEATURED IMPACT & LEARNING
Across our global and domestic engagements, HopeSpring works alongside educators and institutions to improve how education systems function in practice.
Ethiopia: Rural Education System & Continuity Initiative
Local nonprofit organizations are deploying innovative education systems that create alternative pathways for young adults into data science and digital careers sought by U.S. technology firms. At the same time, community-based organizations are advancing conflict-resolution and civic-stability efforts that are helping to reduce long-standing inter-tribal violence and strengthen norms of accountability and rule of law. Education system leaders are also assessing how to scale effective learning platforms, with HopeSpring engaged to align these parallel efforts, surface shared learning, and support coherent system-level decision-making.
P-12 School District Literacy & Learning Systems Collaborative
HopeSpring convened and aligned a community-based partnership among a local university, a literacy organization, and a regional entertainment theater to design and implement a creative, arts-based reading initiative for a public school district. In its system-level role, HopeSpring supports coordination across institutions, captures learning from implementation, and translates those insights into a clearer understanding of the structural conditions influencing literacy outcomes and student learning.
Dominican Republic: Educational Leadership Formation & System Initiative
HopeSpring is working alongside a school in the southeastern Dominican Republic to strengthen curriculum coherence, instructional practice, and long-term institutional sustainability. While these schools demonstrate strong commitment and community trust, leaders have identified the need for greater alignment across grade levels, clearer pedagogical standards, and structured pathways toward national and international accreditation.
Papua New Guinea: Tribal Primary School & Education Development Partnership
Until 2025, this community relied exclusively on oral tradition. A local educator recently developed a written alphabet, enabling indigenous elders to learn to read for the first time and establishing the foundation for the community’s first formal school system. HopeSpring partnered with local leaders to support this transition, focusing on governance, educator formation, and the early development of a coherent education system.
