WHO WE ARE
HopeSpring International Institute for Education & Social Entrepreneurship is a U.S.-based think tank dedicated to community-engaged research that builds sustainable education systems in underserved and rural communities around the world.
Rooted locally in Virginia and anchored in Acts 1:8, we believe that lasting change begins with local talent. By equipping educators, strengthening infrastructure, and building global partnerships, we help children dream again—one classroom at a time.
Our model integrates a modified University of Oregon EPIC-N framework, turning academic knowledge into practical, community-based action.
OUR MISSION
The mission of HopeSpring International is to end the global teacher shortage by identifying, training, and supporting teachers in underserved communities through locally grounded teacher formation, research-informed professional development, and community-engaged training models.
– 44 million additional teachers are needed worldwide to achieve universal education by 2030
– Sub-Saharan Africa alone needs 15 million more teachers
– Rural schools face high student ratios and limited access to training
